Just days after it withdrew its proposal for a reclassification ban of M855 green-tip ammo, the BATFE has voiced new concerns about surplus military ammunition. In a Senate committee hearing, BATFE Director B. Todd Jones said that all types of 5.56 ammunition used in AR-15-style pistols pose a threat to law enforcement. Bob Owens, editor of Bearing Arms, responds to the new statements by Director Jones. He explains that the agency may have decided to try to go after all 5.56 ammunition. He says that the only way to stop the ammunition ban effort may be to remove the sporting purposes test, and take power away from the BATFE. Originally aired on NRA News Cam & Co 03/12/15.
