California Assembly Bill 144, legislation that would ban the open carrying of firearms in the state, has passed through the legislature and is on Governor Jerry Brown's desk to be signed. If it is signed, many gun owners in California will have no means of carrying firearms outside of the home since many counties do not issue concealed carry permits. Cam Edwards speaks with California Civil Rights Attorney Chuck Michel who explains that if this unconstitutional ban becomes law, it will affect lawsuits that are already underway over California's restrictive carry laws.
