Ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to veto A.B. 962 and S.B. 585. Ed Worley, NRA-ILA California State Liaison joins Cam Edwards to urge NRA members to contact the governor and request that he veto the Ammo Registration (A.B. 962) and Cow Palace (S.B. 585) bills.
A.B. 962 would require the Department of Justice to maintain additional information relating to ammunition transfers and licensed handgun ammunition vendors, effectively creating an ammunition registry.
S.B. 585 would prohibit the sale of firearms and ammunition at the Cow Palace and would thereby make a violation of that prohibition a misdemeanor. This bill would ban having a gun show at the Cow Palace, which is a state owned facility in the South San Francisco area. If it passes, it will likely be expanded to ban gun shows on any public property, such as fairgrounds, throughout the state.
