Cameron Gray and John Popp speak with Richard Pearson of the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) about two stories happening in his state. The first involves a fundraising letter sent out by the Brady Campaign detailing their $30,000 attempts to recruit Republican Congressman Robert Dold of Illinois to support H.R. 308, a measure to ban assault clips. The second concerns a lawsuit filed by the ISRA to establish the constitutionality of FOID cardholders' confidentiality. Pearson explains that a bill has been passed barring the release of some personal information, but further action is apparently required to protect the whole of FOID information.
