Founded in the 1920s by World War I veterans, the Blue Park Gun Club in Cook County, Illinois has been around for generations. However, it may soon lose its lease from the Cook County Board. The land has been transferred to the Forest Preserve District, which does not consider the shooting range to be compatible use.
