Second Amendment attorney and scholar Steve Halbrook provides an update on the lawsuits brought by the NRA, the NSSF and many border gun stores against the BATFE. The lawsuits challenge regulations that were illegally enacted by the Obama administration in the wake of the Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal, requiring that gun stores in states bordering Mexico report multiple semi-automatic sales of rifles or shotguns to the same individual in a 5-day period. Halbrook asserts that the regulations implemented with the BATFE rule are in direct contravention of the Firearm Owners Protection Act. The measure unnecessarily creates a registry of law-abiding gun owners' private information. Originally aired 10/26/11.
