Dick DeGuerin, the attorney for Carter's Country gun store in Houston, Texas, says his client was one of the store that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) used in the controversial operation "Fast and Furious." Recently a BATFE agent, John Dodson, told CBS News that "Fast and Furious" instigated the movement of thousands of U.S. firearms south of the Mexican border with government approval. DeGuerin tells Ginny Simone that BATFE not only encouraged Carter's Country to sell as many guns as they could, but they also told the owner, Bill Carter, that he deserved the 'Cooperation of the Year' award.
