According to a recent audit by a legislative committee in Colorado, 63% of the 51,000 carry permits on file in the concealed handgun database contain inaccurate or inconsistent information. The database, managed by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, could therefore result in many wrongful arrests in the state. Ginny Simone speaks with Tony Fabian, President of the Colorado State Shooting Association, who says this audit illustrates exactly why gun owners have been fighting to get rid of this registration policy.
