The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has reported a 3.6% increase in hunting license sales-the largest since 1974. By no coincidence, wholesale food prices have also risen steeply by 1.6% in an already depressed economy. As these numbers reflect, hunting puts food on the table in troubled times. Cam Edwards speaks with Kyle Wintersteen, Senior Associate Editor of American Hunter Magazine, who says people who are interested in becoming novice hunters should ask an experienced hunter to show them the ropes.
