Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, one of the most anti-gun mayors in America, made the announcement today that he will not run for re-election in 2011. The 68-year old Democrat has been Mayor of Chicago since 1989. He said that this was "a personal decision" and that he and his family will now begin a 'new phase of their lives. ' His wife Maggie, recently has been battling cancer. Ginny Simone speaks with Richard Pearson, Executive Director of the Illinois State Rifle Association about this major change in the Chicago Political Machine and the battle for gun rights in that state.
