In tonight's Civil Rights Roundup, NRA Deputy General Counsel Stefan Tahmassebi talks to Cam Edwards about a few of the 32 amicus briefs filed in the McDonald v. Chicago case in support of the incorporation of the Second Amendment. The most prominent of these is the legislators' brief signed by 58 senators and 251 representatives, which recalls a legacy of congressional actions taken to protect the individual right to bear arms. Other amicus briefs have been submitted by a coalition of philosophy and criminology professors and by the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).
