NRA Deputy General Counsel Stefan Tahmassebi joins Cam Edwards to discuss the case of Adames v. Beretta USA, and to explain why the Supreme Court of Illinois threw out the frivolous lawsuit for the sake of the gun manufacturer on March 19, 2009. In 2005, as Tahmassebi explains, the NRA pushed the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act through the legislature to protect the industry. The measure was a response to the attempts by some governors to bankrupt firearms manufacturers with superfluous lawsuits.
