On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from Newton, NJ where a law-abiding pet shop owner and former kidnapping victim was given a "raw deal" by a New Jersey judge. In January of 2010, a criminal group abducted Jeffrey Muller, 60, thinking that he was a different Jeffrey Muller who had slighted them out of money. Muller was tasered and held at gunpoint, escaping his attackers only when their car broke down. He is now testifying against them and requested a carry permit to feel safe. The police granted his request, but New Jersey law requires judicial approval for these permits, and the judge felt that Muller's traumatizing ordeal and risk in the trial did not meet the standard of "justifiable need."
