Illinois's early prison release program sets a violent man free. On tonight's Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards talks about the now-suspended Meritorious Good Time "Push" program that allowed 48-year-old Derrick King to serve only 18 days for beating 36-year-old Jennifer Hall within an inch of her life. In the bloody beating, King lost all of her teeth but four, suffered permanent nerve damage had 85 staples put into her head and was placed in a drug-induced coma-on her birthday. For King? A slap on the wrist, and he's back in the game. He will serve less than a day for every tooth he knocked out of Hall's mouth.
