Former deputy prime minister Tim Fischer has warned voters in Australia that the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party is dangerous and a threat to the country's gun control laws. The pro-gun party announced it will field a candidate for the New South Wales seat of Albury in the next election. The Independence Institute's Dave Kopel reports that gun control activists in the U.S. love to reference Australia's gun laws, but they don't say how controversial they are. The dual confiscations of 1992 and 1996 outraged gun owners, as has the strict registration of firearms. Now collectors are being accused of amassing arsenals for terrorists. Dave says the pro-gun party will only continue to grow. Originally aired on Cam & Co 10/31/17.
