Jami Hurst: Tishomingo Joins The Well Armed Woman

Pew Research reports one in five women own a gun in America. National nonprofit The Well Armed Woman is working to help even more women become gun owners for fun and self-defense. Tishomingo, Oklahoma chapter leader Jami Hurst says she grew up around firearms and attended a meeting of a neighboring chapter. She wanted something closer to home. She and a friend became NRA Certified Pistol instructors. There are now eight to ten members in her small town. It allows them to all come together to improve their firearm skills.
