We're surrounded by a world where, for too many, being a parent no longer means being there. But we remember when being a parent meant being there when things went right ... or wrong. Those moms and dads are still here — they're the Good Guys.
The character of our country and all of our values are at risk. We feel it in our politics, certainly. But we feel it just as clearly in our children’s schools, where cheating seems nearly condoned, and in our workplaces, where dishonesty has become a way of doing business, and in our commutes, where cell phones, short tempers and selfish behavior undermine our safety, and our sanity.
In that light, this national television campaign highlights the millions of Americans who still believe in, and live out, timeless values like honesty, work ethic, good parenting, civic responsibility, honoring our servicemen and women … people who don’t seek the spotlight, but deserve it: The Good Guys.
