Eighteen years ago the U.S.S. Cole was bombed by a terrorist that killed 17 American sailors. Just this week, U.S. officials confirmed that the terrorist responsible has finally been killed. Kirk Lippold was the Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Cole when the attack took place.
