From the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia, curator Logan Metesh and NRA News producer John Popp examine a Sharps "slant breech" carbine. It was one of approximately 900 firearms purchased by radical abolitionists in the mid-1800s. They were packaged into crates, marked as bibles, and became known as "Beecher's Bibles." This carbine was used by John Brown during his 1859 raid on the U.S. Armory at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Originally aired on Cam & Co 07/09/15.
