On this edition of Curator's Corner, John Popp joins National Firearms Museum Senior Curator Phil Schreier to discuss a special Winchester Model 1895 Rifle. The rifle was the personal firearm of famed Field & Stream editor-in-chief Townsend Whelen. It has a number of unusual features, including an intricate wildlife carving in the buttstock. The rifle will be one of the featured arms at the new NRA Sporting Arms Museum at the Bass Pro Shop Headquarters in Springfield, Missouri. Originally aired on Sportsman Channel Cam & Co. 3/18/13.
