Civil War's Burnside Carbine

On this edition of Curator's Corner, John Popp speaks with Senior Curator Phil Schreier at the National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia. This week they examine a Burnside Carbine Rifle. Producing almost 50,000 versions between 1857 and 1865, this particular rifle was a favorite of Union forces in almost every Civil War theatre. Originally aired 8/9/2012.
