On this edition of Curator's Corner, National Firearms Museum Director Jim Supica and John Popp of NRA News join Mike D'Ambra at Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show in Oklahoma. D'Ambra has chosen four rifles that illustrate the history and evolution of the American long rifle. On this segment, he discusses two more rifles that are from the era following the Revolutionary War. In order to keep business afloat, gunsmiths after the war began to make more ornate rifles for privateers. D'Ambra's guns feature these embellishments, one from Pennsylvania with details reflecting the region and the other with a percussion firing mechanism as technology evolved. Originally aired 2/3/2011.
