On this edition of Curator's Corner, John Popp joins National Firearms Museum (NFM) Senior Curator Phil Schreier to examine and discuss the Remington Rolling Block rifle, the very first gun in the NFM collection. Donated in 1935, this silver-plated, single-shot rifle was manufactured by the hundreds of thousands for anyone in the world who wanted to equip their army with them. They shot so well, in fact, that they became a sensation on the sporting circuit, holding their own against other single-shot rifles at the time. Originally aired 8/25/2011.
