On this edition of Curator's Corner, John Popp joins National Firearms Museum Senior Curator Phil Schreier in the rarely-viewed National Firearms Museum Vault to talk about Leon "Red" Jackson's Fake Firearms Collection. Jackson was a Texas gun dealer, renowned worldwide by the collecting community as one of the more privy dealers of antique and collectible firearms. When he encountered counterfeit guns, he would take them off the market so that they could not hinder another collector ever again. Jackson donated his collection of fakes to the museum with the stipulation that they can never leave the museum except as scraps of metal. Originally aired 4/14/2011.
