Revolver Used By William Powell in Classic Film Series

On tonight's Curator's Corner, National Firearms Museum Senior Curator Phil Schreier joins John Popp for a "bonus" movie segment promoting the Hollywood Guns exhibit. Schreier shows off a nickel-plated .32-caliber revolver with mother-of-pearl grips and an inscription that shows that it had been given "To Nick." The piece is clearly a prop from the classic William Powell-Myrna Loy detective series The Thin Man, featuring the lead characters Nick and Nora Charles, although Schreier has yet to establish from which of the six films in the series it hails. Originally aired on 04/08/10.
