Hawken reproduction that was featured in The Mountain Men (1980). John Popp joins Phil Schreier, Senior Curator of the National Firearms Museum, in the William B. Ruger gallery to discuss this .45 caliber Italian reproduction of a Hawken plains rifle that was used in the 1980 cult classic film by Fraser Heston, son of Charlton Heston. This firearm is part of the traveling exhibit "Real Guns of the Old West" featuring six Hollywood guns from film and television westerns. Originally aired on Cam & Co 01/28/10.
