On today's Curator's Corner, John Popp joins National Firearms Museum Senior Curator Phil Schreier at the site of the 2009 NRA National Police Shooting Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The iconic weapons include a Colt .45 revolver owned by Texas Rangers Frank and Harrison Hamer, along with Dirty Harry's famous .44 Magnum. Also present are a Texas Ranger's Beretta and badge, a Drug Enforcement Administration agent's Colt .45, and the Smith & Wesson pistol carried by a New York police officer who died in the September 11 attacks.
