From the 2017 NRA Annual Meetings in Atlanta, Georgia, John Popp is joined by NRA National Firearms Museum Director Jim Supica, Senior Curator Phil Schreier and Michael Carrick of the Oregon Arms Collectors Association. Michael presents a 1780 Girardoni repeating air rifle. It's exactly like the one used by Meriwether Lewis during his famous expedition. It did not use gunpowder, but rather compressed air. It came with three detachable air reservoirs at 800 psi. Michael donated one each to the NRA Museums in Fairfax, Virginia and Springfield, Missouri.
