From the 2017 NRA Carry Guard Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John Popp and NRA National Firearms Museum firearms specialist Logan Metesh begin a new six-part series on the history of concealed carry. He's brought a German Ball Butt Dag wheellock pistol from approximately 1675. It might seem a little big for concealed carry, but it wasn't at the time. Its wheellock mechanism made it possible to conceal under a cloak or frock coat, then draw and fire.
