Classic military revolver also has a famous "cousin." On the first installment of the recurring segment Curator's Corner, John Popp speaks with National Firearms Museum Senior Curator Phil Schreier about a Colt .38-caliber revolver, made in 1896 and bearing inspection marks from the U.S. Navy. This gun's serial number is only twelve digits away from an identical pistol recovered from the wreckage of the USS Maine and given to Theodore Roosevelt, who carried it with him to the Spanish-American War.
