The NRA National Defense Match, held at Peacemaker National Training Center in West Virginia, is a new concept match that gets semi-automatic rifle owners off the couch and out to the range, where they're shooting from different positions, including prone kneeling, standing and around barricades. There are three levels, Basic, Advanced and National Championship, depending on skill level. Mark Keefe and the Rifleman crew were there for this challenging and fun new shooting sport. Also, Associate Editor Joe Kurtenbach tests the Walther PPQ pistol, and we look at the history of the select-fire Ruger AC556, which was based on Bill Ruger's Mini-14.
